The cultural association SFIGGA, which is the organizing authority of the festival, is an autonomous organization of artists, scientists and citizens from different parts of Greece, with particular interest in the multi-level case of Thebes. The organization collaborates with artists and scientists in Europe and around the world to "build" a "new city", through a vertical splash in place and time, to find the cultural reserve that will be the starting point for creating a new identity.

The members of the Sphinx organization, whether living and coming from the city or not, are deeply and honestly interested in it, and retain backgrounds of study and experience on the issues raised by the festival.
