Τhe Railway Station of Thebes is located outside the main aropolis of Kadmeia, near the outer fortification. In this in-between the fortification area, there were many cemeteries, thus a cemetery of seventy graves has recently been excavated.

  It is one of the most important ways to approach the city, a critical node of it, and unfortunately today neglected.
