At Pouros,it is said that there was the well known oionoskopeio of  Tiresias or- some others say- that  it was the place where Hercules and Hera were worshiped. Today,it is a garden at the entrance of which Antigone and Ismini  welcome the visitor, urging him to leave his  glance touch the legendary mountainous growth of Elikonas and Parnassos which stand  magnificent on the opposite side. Pouros  seems like a window through which the city peeps its past and agonises about its future.
