Arsenal
The arsenal today is an archaeological site surrounded by blocks of flats at Pelopidou Street, one of the busiest streets of Thebes. During the Mycenaean Ages the arsenal was an outbuilding of the Palace where arms, copper tools, vessels and raw materials were kept. It also operated as the Archives of the Palace, as it is proved by 238 sings of Linear B which were found there. These signs gave information about the economic activities and the administration of the Palace, the trade and political relations between Thebes and other regions of the Mycenaean world as well.
