Agia Fotini is a church, and it is a christian monument from the Byzantine period. It is located near the outer fortification of Thebes, on a street which leads to the main suburban green area of the city.

  Allegedly, in this area Cadmus, the founder and first King of Thebes, threw the teeth of the Dragon who guarded the hills, and the first Thebean people grew from the ground.
